Yuka completed her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of British Columbia, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in Speech Sciences. Through her graduate practicums, she has clinical experiences working with adults and children for treatment and assessment of speech (e.g. Speech Sound Disorders, apraxia), language (e.g. Developmental Language Disorder, aphasia), and social communication (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder) disorders.
Yuka is passionate in supporting clients of all ages and experiences with their communication goals. By using a client- and family-centered approach, she strives to provide therapy that translates into meaningful participation in everyday life for her clients.
Outside of her work, she enjoys trying new cafes, drawing, and spending time with her friends. She also hopes to learn how to crochet and learn more ASL, Japanese, and French.
